If you have enough room left, why waste a perfectly good rock?

    Reduce, reuse, recycle.

First, reduce all initial consumption as much as practical.

Second, from your existing consumption, reuse as much as practical.

Third, from the reduced and not reused consumption, recycle as much as practical.

Finally, try to make each of the above as practical as possible.

Oh, by the way, the above is reuse rather than recycle.

    Recycling isn’t working.

I have a novel idea. Lets make laws against making one-time-use plastic.

Plastic bottles annoy me no end. Unless you live in Flint, there’s no need to buy bottled water. (A fair amount of it is simply tap water, anyway.) But after wasting money on it in the first place, taking two sips and then tossing it in the trash is sheer financial lunacy.

Recycle and reuse all you want, but until we get the population problem under control the pollution will get worse and worse. Until the pollution imposes a most disagreeable control of population.
