I’m *only 40 years old and I too find myself having to explain “old” sayings to those in their early 30’s and younger.

I swear this one was a recycle from a few years ago. Probably thought no one would notice.

Just call it a carry out container. And hope Ludwig doesn’t decide he wants it.

The last time I asked for a Bowser Bag, they sent out their ol’ Granny Cook!

This is one of my favorites from 2015. Jimmy hasn’t mentioned anything in his blog about being on vacation, so I have to wonder why he’s running repeats this week.

Now appears the androgynous waitperson. All I ask is service from them. If I want information I will ask for it.

And they’ve changed the colors from January 29, 2015—-the background was white then, and Arlo’s suit was blue!

Seriously, you’re worried that an animal that eats its own feces is going to eat leftovers?

In the last fifteen years, some time in the night while I was sleeping, someone switched planets on me.

The term doggie bag came because restaurants couldn’t give partially consumed food to people to take home due to liability (as I recall). To get around the liability issue a smart person asked if they could take it home to their dog; what happens to the food once it leaves the restaurant when it’s identified for “non-human” consumption is that persons liability.

Do people still say"doggy bag"? These days, it’s “can I get a box?”

Hmm. I am surprised about this. I tend to think that any waitperson of any age would know the term “doggy bag”. I may have to try this out sometime…. but the problem is…. I never have any leftovers, so I do not get the opportunity! :)

While “box” is customary now, there were cutsey terms during the transition: “dragon bag” for Chinese, “Chihuahua bag” for Mexican, “mermaid bag” for seafood, etc.

Every restaurant meal I order is large enough for 3 servings, at least. I always get a container for the leftovers and I have lunch for a few days.

All is good if when you’re finished you don’t have to ask for a “body bag”

Here we go with PC again. For what it costs to eat out no one should have to defend to take home the remains of a meal they paid for.
