But most people consider it our second, unofficial, anthem. And it’s easier to sing.
I sure would vote for “America the Beautiful” over the Rockets red glare. Wars may exist. I’ll even acknowledge that sometimes they are necessary. But, I don’t think they are ever a cause for celebration.
The point of the guy who was there was not war, but endurance no matter what comes and no matter what happens.
Another fact, tis not a story of celebration, but the real life endurance of our people during a time of real life betrayal.
