I can relate to this. When we we younger and single, my wife was absolutely gorgeous…like Arlo said, way out of my league. She was working in a medical office at the time, and one of the doctors was VERY interested in her…asked her out several times. For some reason she decided to spend her life with a divorced aircraft mechanic. There are still women that choose love over money….thankfully.

Arlo usually knows what to say – well, most of the time!

I hate getting old, too. But I’m not all that enthusiastic about the only alternative, either.

sad – he said he ‘had’ to work at it. Better keep working at it to keep her, and the same for her.

I wonder how many others have had her

You still have that old magic Arlo. You must have to get away with that misstep of a response.

Face it Arlo…..She settled.

My Mother-in-law always said, “Growing old is not for wimps. But, considering the alternative, I’ll grow old!” I agreed with her then, and I really agree with her now that incipient old age is upon me!!!

True love. True, real-world love.

And look at what your hard work got you, Arlo.

What am I saying. Arlo doesn’t need any encouragement to look.

A league of his own….

I got one way out of my league, too. We’ve been together now 36 years. She doesn’t look exactly like my new bride, but the person is in there, and I still think I’m out of my league. And I still can’t believe I got her and got to keep her.

Max – Yep, same thing here, but my mind’s eye is 40 years out of date. 8^)

Who she is and how she looks right now is who she really is. She should make the best of what she has today.
