Although the coloring here de-emphasizes it, Sam still has a noticeable shiner (left eye) from his Close Encounter with Sawtooth’s fist. I don’t know who the RL Dr. Greenwood might be, but she does seem to be a portrait rather than just a cartoon creation. And while Sam gets on the alert, Julie should probably retreat to some safer location than at her Dad’s side. But now it is Sawtooth who is being pursued; in that sense, the momentum and advantage have shifted….
Among other inconsistencies, in panel 3 Sam is wearing a bow tie, in panel 2 he is not. Given the circumstances, “not” is the better choice.
As for the first panel, Sam is not all right. He has had a concussion, as evidenced by his getting knocked out. And Sawtooth and the artists could have done a better job by breaking Sam’s nose. Sam might have also suffered some minor fracturing of the bones around his eye(s).
