He also dodged the Mullet bullet. (I’ll never forget the time my mother suggested that my husband grow a Mullet; he told her flat-out that it was NOT going to happen, and I am eternally grateful.)

LOL. I remember they were really popular, but then I was only in junior high and never wanted one myself.

I remember my father refusing to let me get the large bell bottom jeans. I’ve been grateful ever since.

I can think of four lads from Liverpool who wore Nehru Jackets. Not only did they look good in them but they all became multi-millionaires. Coincidence?

I grew up in the fifties and a tee-shirt and greasy Levis’ never went out of style. Still have the old knife I carried around and to school…

Back in the 60’s I was in the Navy and also in a Garage band and while in Hong Kong I purchased my Nehru Jacket. Man I just knew I was the coolest dude on earth. I look back now and realize what a dork I was…

The thing about Nehru jackets wasn’t that they were horrible, it’s that they were an expensive fad; unless you got into them at the very beginning, by the time you bought one the fad was already dying and you were stuck with something you could never wear.

I had an Eisenhower Jacket from my maternal grandfather.

strange how it seems we forget the smart things we do but remember the dumb things more

I wore a Gold Nehru jacket, and a Turtleneck shirt, to a school dance in 1968.

One of the smartest things I ever did was never smoke, drink alcohol, or get a tattoo. And I NEVER intended to either one in my life
