I’m suddenly hearing Ray Stevens paraphrasing himself. “Get it…. Get it…. Get it…. Get Star-Tan! And his camping band! Their all you can stand, give ’em a hand. Get Star-Tan.”

Reminds me of an Italian song, Tintarella di Luna, “Moon Tan”.

Way back in old times, sleeping in the light of the full moon was supposed to drive you mad. That’s where they got the word “lunatic.”

Does a star-tan come with a wish by any chance?

What a lovely idea! I think I’ll add it to my bucket list. It would have to be in a place without biting critters, I’m prime delicacy for any kind of pest.

This comic reminds me about what they say about people in Seattle: they don’t tan, they rust.

The ancient Greeks used to do this on their boats, but they would stretch out on the horizontal members of their mast systems. That way they could get a spar-tan.

I had the same view on all my Aircraft Carriers at 0300 hrs in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Quite beautiful actually.
