Yesterday marked 50 years since Franklin, over at Peanuts, made his first appearance. CBS News had a segment about it last night during the evening news, including a short interview with Robb (if you want to put a face to the strip):
Glad that seeing Franklin at age 6 inspired you Robb. I hope you keep publishing Jump Start for years to come!! I’m reading the strips from 22 and 12 (rereading those for sure) years ago, a day at a time. There are some gaps in the 22 year old archive. Glad you persevered!!

it’s very rare to find significantly sized pieces of gold while panning, mostly you find tiny sand grain sized bits
