After 17 years of working in a grocery store I’ve become convinced that some people are Sheeple, they buy what they “think” is healthy or what they think everyone else is buying

On the other end of the spectrum are the people who spend 15 minutes or more reading labels before they decide which yogurt to buy

There are two alternatives to “natural” foods: unnatural foods, and supernatural foods.

Supernatural foods? Where can I get some? ( Thank you, Jef, for bringing this to the readers’ attention!)

Try this: instead of shape-shifting and tap-dancing through the assignment, engage with the book. Write a real book report. Make it the best you can do. In other words, learn something instead of farting around. I realize that attitude won’t make for funny comic strips. However, it will make for a good education. It’s your mind. You can use it well or badly. You get to make the choice. You don’t get to choose the consequences of your choice.

I highly doubt labeling her book reports as 100% natural would work on any teachers. Especially the smart ones.

Does anyone here know what “natural flavoring” is on the list of ingredients on most food items? I’ve seen it on everything from junk food to “wholesome” foods. I always imagined a big bottle of chemicals labelled “natural flavoring” in the food processing factories.

OK, Mallett. The basic recipe for donuts has not changed for a very long time. Overprocessed wheat, processed sugar, cooked in hot fat, lovingly garnished with glucose. Where is the plastic? The artificial color in the icing? The sprinkles? That’s a far cry from becoming all but plastic.

A school book report that is 100% natural at a bare minimum has to have been chewed on by the family dog.
