FunnyâŠLast week my wife was watching âEllenâ and the guest singer was Camila. The video was pretty much a sex show and it did get me to look up from the computer to watch. As enticing as she was, my only thought wasâŠâSheâs got nothing on Joey Heatherton!â
The first adult film I saw was a b&w stag flick on my half-brotherâs projector in his garage. I didnât understand the attraction. At 13, eros to me was doctored photos of lovely young women in Playboy. This movie was like a filmstrip in biology class.
When I was younger, my brother had a hand turned, hand held 8mm viewer that you watched through an eye viewer. I wonder what ever happened to that, along with the film (he only had one) that I used to watch?
Where, if you had enough money and a proper 16mm or 35mm projector, you could buy copies of movies/content that were recently in theaters or on TV â and screen them at home.
We started to watch âThe Borgiasâ thinking it would be historical. Perhaps it was but I think it was no more than five minutes into the first episode that there was full nudity and sexual encounters. Put that one away then tried âThe Tudorsâ Same thing.
Netflix and Hulu both; most of the âoriginalsâ are not only filthy, they have a disproportionately high use of the âFâ word. Thatâs not creativity. Itâs lazy writing.
I wish Netflix could do again what it used to do, but I realize that itâs hard for them to get those old shows back. Now EVERYONE wants to be Netflix, and they charge an arm and a leg to rent their old series.
When âBlackishâ came on I watched part of the first episodeâŠdad talking to his son about oral sex. I enjoy porn now and then, but not in the childrenâs hour on broadcast television. You donât have to be a puritan to know that the whole freedom to say and do anything you want has gone well past the line.

Yes. HBO, Netflix, et al. have put an end to a lucrative cottage industry. ;o)
