Supposedly one of the techniques you can learn from the ancient sorcerers of Asia is creation of a tulpa, also called thought-form. They can become solid and visible to all. And if you aren’t careful they can develop an independent personality. Used as early as 1927 from English translations of the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
The *_tulpa*_ is a concept in mysticism and the paranormal of a being or object which is created through spiritual or mental powers.1 It was adapted by 20th century theosophists from Tibetan sprul-pa (Tibetan: སྤྲུལ་པ་, Wylie: sprulpa) which means “emanation” or “manifestation”.2 Modern practitioners use the term to refer to a type of willed imaginary friend which practitioners consider to be sentient and relatively autonomous.3
It could be that Danae’s fears have accidentally manifest a “real” Mongolian Skunk Spider from her imagination into a material reality. Might explain some manifestations reported over the centuries. Fear is a great generator of powerful emotions an channeled through parts of the brain we don’t yet fully understand could do such a thing. If such a thing is real to begin with.

Lucy is going to have a story that even Eddie won’t believe. However he has met Lars and been to Earth 3.5, so who knows.

How come there is no screen in the window? That would keep out all but the very smallest of spiders.

I used to live next to a cemetary and the neighbors were OK but the visitors could be a pain!
