mister, you’d better steer clear from that pub’s most famous patron as well as the town’s most famous citizen

There should be a warning sign outside the door. Along with a photo of Mr. Capp.

Yet another variation on a theme…..well, it’s the usual, and therefore not much of a variation. Come to think of it, it’s not much of a theme! Thank God (and Eldo) for the classics!

It was not unusual for a newcomer, or a stranger in a pub, to stand a round of drinks for a few locals as a way of introducing himself. Rounds were always reciprocated ( except in Andy’s case ) and it was a good way to get to meet people.

Andy is so rude it’s unbelievable.

There are so many people like that nowadays.

I don’t want to hear anybody say that nobody was rude in the “olden days” because they were. You can’t blame the younger generation for everything. If you do, you may want to take a look at yourself…

What better way to make someone feel welcome than to let them buy you a pint?

“That’s fine. I’ll buy mine and you can buy yours.”
