I think this is a reference to George Orwell’s classic book Animal Farm, in which the animals decided that the farmer was mistreating them, so they organized. The pigs emerged as the leaders of the rebellion, and after the farmer was overthrown, the pigs gradually took over living in the farm house, and the last condition of the rest of the animals was way worse than the first.
