Hello Georgia! After reading this strip for a while, I have an idea for a story arc! Here it is: The Woman notes that the boys like deep-pile carpet, so she goes out and buys the deepest-pile carpet she can find to cover the living room floor. Unfortunately, it goes above the catsâ heads. The cats decide to do a report on the new carpet. They jump across the sofas, until Elvis loses his footing and falls onto the carpet. Elvis remembers the âfactâ that cats are liquid (which is not true â see May 28), and thinks heâs being absorbed as he sinks into the carpet. Puck dives in to save Elvis. Puck knows better than Elvis, but Lupin doesnât, and thinks Puckâs been absorbed, too. Lupin sits at the desk, telling of the tragic absorption. He goes back to the carpet, to mark the spot, when Puck and Elvis triumphantly resurface! Lupin is incredulous about how they werenât absorbed, and as Puck tries to explain, Elvis interjects, saying that yes, they were absorbed, but that they managed to recollect their molecules, and, literally, pull themselves together. Lupin believes this, and Puck facepaws. The cats try to tell the Woman to get rid of the carpet, âCN News, maâam, get rid of that carpet! Someone could be absorbed!â and she doesnât understand. But she throws it out anyway. I would enormously appreciate it if you were to use this arc, or parts of it. Loving bumps and boops from your Mega Orb scientist, Fastfur07. =â.,.â=
I donât know about that whole gravitational pull. Especially with an open window and a fan in the window. If you can shut off the fan and close the window, great. But if youâre asleep when the rain startsâŠ. Iâve had plenty of rainy days where I WANT TO GET OUT OF BED because the bed just gets sticky with moisture.
Lupin displaying his tummy brings back memories of my sweet boy Whiskers. Whiskers would roll over and show me his tummy and I would always ask him âcan Mama kiss your floofy tummy?â Then I would slowly proceed to kiss his tummy and he never moved away or tried to swat me or anything! Thatâs one of my cherished memories of WhiskersâŠâŠ.
n all the feline lore and the harsh realities cats have endured, there are few witnessed instances of a cat actually crying. Tre-C did not care one whit for anything others have seen or may see. In the space of just a few minutes she had gone from the deepest despair to pure elation. Yenta looked up from her nest and began to purr loudly. She eased herself up from her babies; they squirmed and squealed but did not cry. âOh, momma- no, stay with themâŠâ Yenta ascended the shiny metal wall as if there were stairs built-in to it. âDonât worry, honeyâ she said, and with a wink, added; âItâs not like theyâre going anywhereâŠâ Then the two rubbed heads over and over and purred like they never had before.
âI was sure Iâd lost you with your brother and sisterâ Yenta said with a sigh; âI was young- too young- and your father was not around. When I came back to where Iâd left you and you all were all gone, I blanked out; I just leftâ Tre-C responded; âand I stayed around for a year waiting for you to come back. I was in and out of the house regularly and for the life of me donât understand why the People didnât just close the back door when I came in.â âNot their way, babyâ Yenta offered; âI think they have a rule about not keeping something wild.â
And that has to be one of my favourite charts, and itâs an Elvis chart no less! I certainly do find myself orbiting and drawn to the immense gravitational pull of the bed on rainy days.
Youâve got to love Elvisâs charts â always pragmatic and full of science :)
Though I donât think my boss would accept the âI was unable to escape the excessive gravitational force exerted by my bed due to decreased barometric pressureâ excuse for not making it into work
I know this is a couple days late but I was wondering about Jules. The story left off with the woman telling man to put vase outside. I was hoping for an ending. Iâm know heâll get out. It just would have been nice to see him fly away in a way to annoy the cats.
Just HOW powerful is BCN (and Georgia)? Been record-setting heat here in the Puget Sound area for weeks. She started the ârainâ arc yesterday and whatâs happening outside this morning? First time Iâve needed the windshield wipers on my way to work for a long time. BCNâthe rainmaker of comics!
We once asked our vet of the time if cats have belly buttons. He said âYes, but theyâre so small and inconspicuous youâd have trouble finding one even with a magnifying glass.â
Didnât stop my better half from trying to blow raspberries into the navel of our male kitten of the time. The kitten would just lie there on his back looking bemused.
I have never in my life gone into a hospital situation and spent less time waiting.
I sat down after checking in and pulled out my phone and the Solitaire app than they called my name for the X-Ray.
Two quick snapshots, and back to the waiting room.
Repeat, except that i didnât even have the time to pull the phone out. I would bet money that, from the moment i walked through the door, it took me no more than 15 minutes to get in and out.
I am so amazed.
And, to top it all off, Itâs been a long time since i have seen Portland freeway traffic flow so smoothly.
I am sooo amazed. I had to take care of an AM Lincoln City client before going out so i didnât get on the road until about 7:30a, and i pulled back into Lincoln City at 1:30. Honestly, i was expecting it to be eight to ten hours before i got home. I called Jenny and told her answering machine that she didnât need to come by. I was home! :D
I really hope Shaunnmunn is feeling better and will be back with us soon. She is our Leading Orbster and we really need all her positive vibes to be as strong as we can be. Take care of yourself, SM, and hopefully you can feel the good thoughts and wishes headed your way.
Dear friends, this has been a toughie to overcome. My doc on vaycay. Sub doc wants me to to call tomorrow with update on how sulfa drugs (her prescrip) work. Not great. Very slow to reduce swelling. Pain much duller, but by this time last time the pain was over. Looks like will need penicillin, which disagrees with me. :-{
Very sick to stomach from sulfa & sitting up to the screen not good, so thatâs why Iâm not communicating. Canât wrap my mind around much right now, BUT my beloved friends in the Mega Orb have given me so much love! I feel it like warm waves. Bless you, each and every one!
The boys are SMART!!!! Rainy days are best for staying home and doing nothing. Making tea and scones is a good thing (The Mrs is a Scot and prefers scones. Savoury and sweet.)

So Lupin what do you call that all day snooze-fest of this past Sunday when you were the only one of you three who was asleep the Whole Time?

This is a banner day â an Elvis chart and Burtâs header. Which by the way I totally agree with both of them.

Is that an old-fashioned barometer on the wall? Worthy of a Providence-built whaler? Or am I misunderstanding an odd teapot?
