As a kid, I used to hide in the laundry chute. (.it emptied into a box-like thing with a door..) .and giggle (quietly) while my mother would be beside herself looking for me. I don’t think she ever figured it out.
Aunt Edna’s and my friend Joe’s laundry chutes fascinated me. But my last ex-girlfriend’s roommate had a sound she’d make that would make her guinea pig sound absolutely nuts in response.
My aunt’s house in Chcago had a laundry chute hidden beneath a trap-door in the stairway to the attic; as I seem to recall, her cat at least once used it for quick access to the basement….

Explore, boys. Run around and explore new things. It can be never ending if you keep your eyes and ears open.

I’m sure there are a lot of moms out there that would love to shoot the laundry.

Anything that chutes is way more fun than something that quibbles and complains.
