To me the intelligence issue really is a false argument. Cows, pigs, hell even fish and chicken all have reasonably high levels of intelligence and many millions of neurons.
People should eat what they like. I personally eat only a little meat (small amounts of chicken, turkey, and fish) once or twice a week… because that is what I find good for me. But others who like more and more varied meats should enjoy it.
