If that’s YOUR doctor, you need a new doctor. If you don’t have a choice, start learning about your own health.

if this were a real doctor and not a comic strip character, I would say:

ok, old man. hang up your lab coat, take your diplomas off the wall and retire.

you’re not doing your patients any good ;you’re obviously burnt out.

Divorce her.

As a matter of fact, patients who go the long way round to tell you what’s wrong really are a pain in the neck. Get on with it, man! And then there are the ones who are on the way out of the door, and say, “Oh, by the way, Doc. . .”

In Ontario Doctors have a schedule to keep if they want to stay in business. I go in with the issues clear on a piece of paper. Mind you by the time I get IN to see him the original issue has gone and there may be something else. Two weeks is about normal. Then if I need a specialist,, well, that’s a whole nuther issue.

And you wonder why the wait is so long in the waiting room.
