“Kip?” Tre-C was no more than four feet from the big Tabby, but her voice was miles away. And really, you couldn’t fault him for his reverie. He was just brought face to face with the fact that he had spent the better part of his life in the pursuit of pleasure, taking the cream from the top and lapping it up. He never gave a thought to the consequences of his actions. “Why must I be like that?”And Kip thought for a minute. Tre-C continued to look at him while he looked into space. Megan was looking at them both, anticipating his next move, curious as to Tre-c’s. Kip moved over to Tre-C and bunted her slowly, looking into her eyes after each one. Did he just mouth the word ‘Yenta’? Then he walked to Megan and booped her. “Great night, Megan- you sure know how to give a guy a good time. I mean…” “I know what you mean, Kip. You going somewhere?” Kip deadpanned; “Yeah, just need to take a little walk. See you again?” “You know it” Kip then advised Rusty to go ahead and close up after the girls left, licked Tre-C behind the ear and walked out the front door, headed in a familiar direction. “Call it a night, Kitten?” Tre-C just nodded. But as they were getting up, Tre-C could swear Megan was purring. She would have no way of knowing- not yet- the reason. It was, in fact, her reason for being. At that moment, Megan was thinking; “I believe my work here is done…”
Tonight it worked out that I am here towards the beginning instead of at the end of the day. Greetings to everyone here and may everyone have a blessed, peaceful, productive weekend. This is where I look forward to coming at the end of the day to unwind, get some laughs, but I often miss much of the early stuff.
So, if Lupin is invisible then can one say with certainty that no one is playing with the floss, but when Lupin is invisible is he still considered a someone?? I’m so confused! ;) ;)
Good morning and happy Caturday, orbsters and orbabies! Is it just me, or are both ends of the floss floating free in the first panel, and in the last panel, one end is connected to the container? We had several hours of rain yesterday. The ground needed it. Today we are going to a birthday party for Paul’s grandchildren, grandson turned three 2 weeks ago, and granddaughter turned one yesterday. We are both looking forward to the outing. Everyone have a wonderful day! ((((((((((mega-orb))))))))))
The Van Gods were doing their best to stop me from getting the van this week. It’s been an adventure. A bad one.
Every time i thought that i was going to get a ride, something happened. Every time.My friend Jenny can back me up there. The day before yesterday she was going to give me a ride and her two hour baby-sitting job turned into a five hour shopping trip. She didn’t get HOME until five.
Yesterday looked good. Jenny was free around 2:00, i was going to be off by 2:00. Started out great! Then we got stopped at Beverly Beach for an accident. Old two lane Hwy.101. Traffic in both directions was stopped for at least a half an hour.
I had to call the office and ask them to put some stuff for me in a drop box, and call the shop and ask them when they closed. I like a mechanic that doesn’t close up shop early on a Friday. :D
Got the van, went to Safeway for a couple of things i forgot the last time i went shopping, and headed north. For those of you that know this area, from Safeway back to Beverly Beach heading north it was stop and go and stop…and go and stop… At least eight miles of that.
Sorry, been out of town all week. They forgot who I am. deep sigh. For a short while. A little bit of lap time and it was all purrs again.
Lupin is now coming out to greet Lisa when she approaches the screen door. Elvis peeks out but still has to be retrieved for his socialization scritchies. Once he’s out, he is okay.
Both will now do some limited interactive play with Lisa and the squeaky mouse on a string. Both will eat while we are in the room with them.
Tuesday is a big day. 1st Veterinarian appointment. We know they don’t have rabies because I haven’t started frothing (except on the political blogs, but that’s “normal”). There is a great deal of stress associated with the blood results. They look so very healthy, but you just don’t know. We are staying positive but keeping a little spot on guard for bad news.
They don’t look any bigger to me this week. I guess it isn’t time yet for the growth spurt. They still can both sleep together in the bathroom sink with room to spare.
When I took the boys in to the Vet for their annual, there was an emergency case going on—the cat in question had swallowed dental floss, and they were trying to get the cat to vomit. They were trying one last concoction, and if that didn’t work, they were going to start the laxatives—and hoping something shy of operating on the cat was going to work.
Keep the dental floss, the embroidery thread, and such away from the kitties!
I had trouble reading some of the comments today. There’s still a few folks who think cats & floss (thread, yarn, etc.) is a joke. Please take necessary precautions! It’s not funny when your kitty is in dreadful pain, late on a weekend night & your vet wants you to take her over 30 miles away to a city & a place you never heard of. The time wasted Googling the info & trying to get hold of my Jazzi as she cried in pain, and driving roads I did not know, meant she died in AGONY!.
I repeat! Being blase’ about this could be a death sentence for your pet!
I know Georgia takes this seriously. This story isn’t over. It’ll end right! >^.,.^<

In the first panel, I love how Puck is keeping a close and solemn watch on the floss – waiting for his turn.
