Agnes seems to exist in a comic-srip in-between world. Usually kids stay the same age and have the same teacher forever. In PEANUTS, the kids switched grades according to the gag- so Linus might be in Charlie Brown’s class sometimes, and in Sally’s other times. Once in a while (as in FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE) they age and progress through school as real kids do. Agnes seems to have a different class with a new teacher each year- yet she still remains the same age.

Mr. Meeney: I LOVE it! I can honestly say I never had a mean teacher. One was strict and a bit demanding, but was not mean.
