Their conversations remind me of the attitude many took towards TDYs for Professional Military Education. Attend the classes because you must, but the real reason for going was the after class meeting and socializing with whoever you could, especially at the NCO Club.
Ha! They are their own bosses so there’s nobody around to ask for the certificates of completion, along with the sign in sheets, to justify the absences from work for professional training or continuous education. Lucky kids. Most of us can’t do what you’re gonna do.
Have had it for decades and have not bothered to find if there ever was a safe way to correct it. Early reports of attempts to cure it included after effects that ranged from_almost_ successful to outright injury. Once I read that, the problem became mostly not worth the possible outcomes.
I read somewhere quite a while back (and please pardon the fact that I don’t remember the specifics) that a company had sent a bunch of, I think, doctors, but I’m not sure, and their wives on a convention trip. Some time later, they called and talked to the wives to ask them how the experience had been. Many of the wives didn’t know what they were talking about, as they had not gone! (Think about it)

Given that attitude, it’s doubtful they will actually make it to the convention.

Two men. John’s bringing two men, and leaving Elly home with two kids and a dog. Yup, he should have taken the sports car and left the van!

After Mrs. Divot, this would seem like a break.

Why does the State Bar make me take a course on Substance Abuse? I’m already pretty good at it.
