Bobby Orr’s number is again prominently displayed behind the teacher. Is there any doubt that she is a Bostonian who refers to a hockey jersey as a “sweater”?
I can understand Nancy’s dismay. In her current understanding of learning, she sees it as something she has to do. But (because she is a smart individual) she eventually will come to see learning as valuable and mostly enjoyable and fun.
You know what is a greater problem in our society than illiteracy? A-literacy when people stop learning and are fine where they are. Though over time they begin to lose some of what they had learned before they stopped.
Funny thing is Nancy is learning even if she doesn’t think it is. Every idea she has takes some learning.
Being self taught, mostly, I find it a wasted day if I don’t learn something new.

How I felt when I was told I was going a “business retreat” to learn Salesforce, but it wasn’t Dreamforce.

Whether I wanted to or not, I have continued learning throughout my life. Most of the lessons have been painful, unfortunately.

The more you learn, the more you realize how much you don’t know.
