Only Frazz regularly features the characters congratulating themselves on how clever they are. When it comes to smug, nobody beats Frazz.

If procrastination is bad, why does it have pro in it?

Or the resumption of a familiar 10-month work cycle for everyone.

Frazz is the best at encouraging original thought. It’s not easy leading the smarter kids. Great job.

Actually, the rest of the world celebrates International Worker’s Day on May Day (May 1), as an commemoration of the May 4, 1886 Haymarket Massacre in Chicago IL. Because of the association of International Worker’s Day with anarchists and socialists, Labor Day in the US and Canada was set in September instead.

Labor Day is a celebration of labor and its rewards: a Summer of tending crops and livestock and an Autumn of harvesting.

Caulfield misses the meaning of labor, usually hard physical work. which I have never seen him involved in (avoiding yes)

So isn’t it ironic that the very idea of a vacation from the hard work of school finds you working hard and learning a new thing when your are trying to avoid learning.

Tribute to toil or “paean to procrastination”, either way I way I get a day off from work.
