If I were Marcy I’d be more worried about the fact that the health pavilion is being run by somebody so volatile that steps have to be taken to keep her from doing things that would ultimately be damaging.
My grandfather had a blood clot in the entrance of his heart. The doctors explained that it would probably break loose, plug the heart and kill him. If they tried to reach it surgically, it would definitely break loose, plug the heart and kill him.
They had an experimental medicine which would break up clots. If it didn’t work fast enough, it would eventually break loose, plug the heart and kill him. If it worked too fast, it would definitely break loose, plug the heart and kill him.
They thought they had the right dose so it would break the clot into small enough pieces to pass and not kill him. It had failed the previous two patients but they hoped they had it right this time.
He agreed to the experiment. It worked.
When no conventional treatment will work, you have to experiment or give up.
