I’ll be honest; I’m disappointed in this turn of events (so far, anyway). I was really enjoying the trip down Memory Lane with revival of original art & arcs. The introduction of a complete stranger who apparently has only a tenuous connection to Gasoline Alley, at best, is an annoying distraction as far as I am concerned. This can all change with tomorrow’s strip and I hope it does, but for now, my vote is to get back to “This Is Your Life, Walt Wallet” and all the nostalgia that went with it.
A lot of people are 100 years old. (Well, maybe not a lot, but at least a goodly number.) So why is Mrs. Peggy Lee featured? Did she win a contest? I could understand it if she had been born on the day the strip debuted, but this seems rather random.

Congratulations to jim for portraying a centenarian as a real person, in contrast to cartoon characters, as a person to be respected and loved.

“A glass of wine before dinner every night, and a cigar on Sunday afternoons.”
There’s always the “How do you live so long?” question, right??

Also, she’s young enough to be Walt’s daughter. So watch your hands Uncle Walt!

Little Orphan Annie, Sandy, Maggie and Jiggs. Kirk Douglas should be there because he’s a hundred plus years old.
