My print newspaper started carrying BCN a few months ago, in B&W. It does not translate well, all detail is lost. So I added it to my GC queue. I think with all the additional characters readers of the print version will give up.
And they don’t run it on Sunday when the comics are in color!
So much to love in this strip! In addition to what has already been mentioned, Elvis’s eyebrows raised so high in panel 2, that his eyes look like musical notes; Puck looking down the laundry chute in panel 4; Sir Figaro’s paws held to his cheeks in the classical “I’m astonished/astounded”; Tommy’s microphone just barely showing in the window. Oh, yes, and two robber mice. Yay!
Megan got back to the deli about an hour after Tre-C and Hector; it was not a busy night, more take out than eat-in. Megan was pleased but not surprised to find that Hector had made a small charcuterie board and some really decent espresso for them. Tre-C was in the loaf position with her nose almost dipped in the brew when Megan came in. “So, there’s no chance that coffees’s going to keep YOU up, eh?” Tre-C lifted her head and shook it vigorously. “Megan! How did your ‘errand’ go? And to answer your question, no, never, not tonight…” “Got it, got it.” Hector stepped in; “Meeegan… look what I got.” And he held a sheet of butcher paper with several slices of paper-thin Prosciutto. “Oh, Hector… You know how much I love this.” “Hey- you saved my bacon. The least I could do is reciprocate. Sort of.” “Hey, I was impressed he could carry it in here…” Tre-C said, and winked at the little mouse. “And he swears nobody saw him…”
I thought what Elvis would think about was the channel upgrade and the lightened workload Burt’s contribution could provide. Seeing that his first thought is about Tommy’s safety is heartwarming. What a good boy!
I don’t want to be a pest, but want to send a smile and an orb boop to Shaunnmunn. We are thinking of you as always and hope you feel better soon and will be back soon. Take care~~~
Today’s strip is an absolute delight! And to those in the weather danger zones….may all of you and all your pets be safe….hugs, boops and caring thoughts coming your ways.
Such a fun strip with so much detail to delight in! And, just to reinforce arolarson’s post above, may all of you (and your pets) in the danger zones keep safe.
Well, GC wouldn’t take this post earlier—will 2nd time work?I’m wondering if Sir Fig’s expression and body language mean “I am not responsible for what Tabitha does.”
First, may all in the path of danger find safe haven (and maybe some good eats while the storms rage). Second, I’m beginning to think I should check my basement more often when the cats trot downstairs with that “kitty on a mission” look! ;-)

I just enlarged the image and discovered a robber mouse lurking in panel 3 and another one looking in the basement window in the last panel.

Is that a nice basket of warm towels behind Sir Figaro?

I notice Tabitha doesn’t look too upset. Obviously Lupin contacted her. I doubt she’d be thrilled if it had been Elvis.

Love Lupin’s air quotes and expression, and I just found Georgia’s signature. Some days we should just look up!

Expanding their service range, and adding new features!
That must signal some kind of kitty economic growth!

BCN Expanding corporate operations in a major telecomuncations move. Question is will it be a hostile takeover?
wesmorgan1 about 6 years ago
Wait a second…multiple sources, shared broadcasts….it’s Cat News Network – CNN!
Oh, wait, that’s gonna bring a lawsuit….Feline News Net – FNN!
Dang, not that one either….ok, I’ve got it – Cat World – CW!
OK, we’ll come back to that, because there are other major questions:
Which of the outdoor cats is going to get stuck with the 5AM Farm Report?
What time slot gets Yarn Wrestling?

I just noticed Elvis’ face resembles the part of the National Hurricane Center tracking map that shows current wind extent.
