Let Peppermint Patty’s embarrassment of Chuck knowing how to play “ha-ha Herman” begin.

Ha Ha Herman is kind of like Marco Polo crossed with Seek and Hide. One person hides, and the others try to find them. At any time, they can call out “Ha Ha”, to which the hider must call out “Herman”. When a person finds them, they hide with them, until one is left looking.

I have never lost a game of Ha Ha Herman.

Snoops, that sounds ha, ha, hard to believe!

I had never heard of that game before reading this strip. I had to Google it.

Ah! The beginning of one of my FAVORITE Peanuts story arcs!

Good way to make an impression Marcie, instead to say “hello”, you doubt abut their game skills.

Interesting that at this point Marcie is already “scaled up” to the size of the other kids. Still slightly shorter than Patty and Charlie Brown, but not toddler sized anymore.

Ssshhhh. I’m hiding.

I have absolutely no recollection of this story arc, and yet I followed Peanuts religiously every day of my life since about age 6 in 1966, when I could read. Ha Ha Herman— no idea whatsoever: I must have blaked out on it. It is not a game where I live. (Shrug)

But first, do they do “One potato, Two potato” to see who gets to hide?
