Whether rescues at sea or economic rescue for those struggling at the bottom, that old “trickle down” scam has never worked.
Didn’t work under Hoover.
Didn’t work under Reagan.
Didn’t work under Bush.
Or maybe it has worked perfectly for its true purpose, just the way they designed it — to REDISTRIBUTE the wealth produced by middle class working people to the few richest elites who already have the most while pretending it is supposed to help working people and the middle class.
It does NOT work the way scam artists try to sell it to gullible suckers.
“There are those who believe that if you will only legislate to make the well-to-do prosperous, their prosperity will leak through on those below. The Democratic idea, however, has been that if you legislate to make the masses prosperous, their prosperity will find its way up through every class which rests upon them.” – William Jennings Bryan, 1896
It seemed to have worked for me. Went from about $17 per hour to $27 per hour for the same job. Of course the socialists among us want everyone to have the same income and the government (that’s us tax payers) will pay for it all: free college, free health care, free everything, food stamps, nothing is free! Trickle down is just crumbs, right Nancy P.?
If Madigan has the Illinoids thinking the feds, meaning the other 49 states, will bail them out, he and they won’t even be able to afford a bankruptcy lawyer.
I have yet to read of any of the uber rich liberals, the so-called masters of the universe reducing their personal income so they can pay more to their employees.

You have to be some dupe to believe that if you give more money to the greedy, they’ll share it with you.

How many people in Pre-Revolutionary France would have kept their heads had they allowed just a little more of their wealth to “trickle-down”?
