I thought the lines across her forehead meant she was embarrassed or sweating. She’s neither here so what do they mean? And why is she so angry now? Playing catch with a football isn’t fun enough? She’s still out of the classroom.
I suspect those vertical lines will change, some way, in time. I think the drag for the kids is they thought they could get away with something teacher normally would not approve of. That catch research was ok, took the fun out of it.
I said it before, but it is well worth repeating….. “This teacher is my new hero!!!!”
I really enjoy this added character by Olivia. She is able to outwit Nancy…. and it is always for Nancy’s own good!!!!! Beautifully written and executed again and again!!!!
Nancy and Esther both are grumpy and disdainful at playing catch with the football, but they will be able to better understand the dynamics of what their robotics task will be, AND they will also be outside in the fresh air…. which is good for them…. even though it never feels like it is something either of them enjoys.
Why there’s no “About” tab on this comic? It’s the only place to go to check the number of followers. Is GC hiding that or did Olivia James ask them to do it? If so why? No, I’m not a conspiracy nut (although, I like nuts).

I like that not only did she call their bluff, but they then felt obliged to actually follow through with it. Pride, thy name is Nancy.

Poor Nancy – between Frizti at home and her teacher at school, even when she wins she loses.

Does she knows what all goes into throwing and catching a ball? How the whole body cooperates? That being said, I do believe I like this strip.

I think this is the first time I’m following a Nancy story arc… let’s see how this ends.

What a sad reincarnation of a once great comic strip.
