Well, a knight’s move could be plotted as a straight line if you ignore the squares. And I don’t see any squares there.

Better check, mate, or it could be “Good knight, Nurse”.

By Rook or Crook, he’ll move.

Chariot, Wheel, Tower.

“Like ‘L’ I will!”

He’ll have to think 3 dimensionally here. Twist the move so that you’re half way down the ladder at the end!

First the rook played his dirty trick on the bishop. Now he’s trying it on the knight.

Good Knight!

Don’t get rooked, man!

Knight fall.

He doesn’t know how the knight moves. He’s just a rookie after all.

To be honest the knight could do it there is possible moves. But to go into it would be a rookie mistake

Or he could just jump…

He needs a trapeze wire strung in a zig-zag.

The knight’s move is only accidentally an L. The origin is one square as a rook and one square as a bishop, jumping if necessary.

Sigh… two steps forward and one step left…
