That third panel indicates Jane’s mom had already figured it out a while back. I’m guessing Jane’s reaction is to how much of an idiot she looked like to her mom for trying to pass as straight when her mom knew different.

So this is what happened during Jane’s sister divorce? Becca told her mother something that her sister would have preferred to stay a secret just for “don’t be the only one” and then forget about it? Wow! What a wonderful sister she is!

Her mom’s real concerns – Are you happy? Yes. Do you need money? No. Lets eat. Your new concern is when asks “So when do we get to meet her?” (courtesy of a Mad About You episode) Then you realize she has someone new she can tell all those embarrassing stories from your childhood. Ahhhh!

A lot of histrionics here?

Need a scorecard to keep track of who is who and how that bat. Didn’t know this was her sister.

And yes homosexuality can run in families. Amazes me that some scientists still push back on the genetic link theory.

Wait, Jane’s sister is a lesbian too?

Are there any women in this strip that aren’t lesbians? Do we eventually find out Jane’s mother is a lesbian?
