A fellow at our church has no Inside Voice, and always claimed he yells because he is hard of hearing. He finally went to an audiologist – who tells him his hearing is perfect. Now, stop yelling!
Have missed ol’ Grog. His is the voice of reason during the current season of madness. His name also suggest an ideal quaff to ease the pain of negative rhetoric that flows down the lines.
Grog reminds me of Vavoom, a character from the old Felix the Cat cartoons from the ’60s. Vavoom was a little Inuit man (we called them Eskimos back then) whose only vocalization was an ear-shattering rendition of his own name.
Grog was one of the early failures that combined all of the lesser elements they were looking for to breed humans that could survive in a Hot House Earth environment they and humanity had created by accident. Stupidly so. But left him alive to roam the new Earth anyway. Somewhere between the height of the Mesozoic and the late Permian temperatures and climate. The ones living across the ocean are more modern in technology. Once they sent over a highly advance flying robot-drone hunter killer to show. 3 Sundays ago we saw a missile come out of its silo ready to launch. It was nuclear. One of those oops moments.

It wasn’t really a true echo. It was the guys down in the bar ordering drinks.

Even if echo is only coming back at 5 percent of power of original sound, and still knocked him over, that “GROG” had a LOT of power in it
