Listen to Opal, Earl . . she just wants to keep you with her as long as possible. ♥ Thinking of my dad who passed away this summer . . my mom was always after him trying to keep him away from eating unhealthy things.

My mom added about 20 years to my Dad’s life by serving healthy food. On his own, he would eat a steady diet of lunch meat and chocolate cake.

At least he did not cover his ears and go “La-la-la” my kids did!

Back when I was a kid, I found covering my ears comfortable.

Whoever does the grocery shopping can usually control the type of food available in the house.
