The lady who called the police is not going to be happy or is going to feel embarrassed.

Thank you for a (so far) happy ending. Now, go and scold the woman who called about wasting time on false alarms.

This does happen which is heartening. Still have cops like the lady who would rather hassle the kids for fun and games.

Apparently there is plenty of paranoia to go around

Common sense does indeed seem to be in short supply, if you have any please use it wisely

Nice nod to the good cops out there, noting the bad who more often make the news. Ride on Baldo!

My take – the police are doing the right thing helping Baldo. It shows their compassion and understanding.

I’m thinking that the policemen are cyclists themselves!

About that chain… Baldo should be able to snake it back on without tools…

The vast majority of Law Enforcement professionals are serving for all the right reasons. Part of that is providing assistance when needed in their role to “Serve and Protect” the Public. People have to stop painting them all with a stereotypical brush because of the few bad apples out there when the real problem is our corrupted Judicial system.

I’m glad these police officers aren’t following the “shoot first, ask questions later” policy.

It’s nice to see the officers help out. Nice twist.

I’m sure as they pulled up they could see that the bike was damaged, so they knew that they weren’t out to rob the place. At least they didn’t “shoot now, ask questions later.”

Although it may seem that way today, not all cops are bad. However, they ARE addicted to donuts…

BTW, I believe false alarms should be a ticketable and finable offence…

The police PR problems would clear up rapidly if they would abandon the Mafia omerta. Yeah, I know, anyone who abandons it will find themselves in a life threatening situation all alone because they testified against the “bad cop” minority. Action must start at command level with perjury being grounds for firing.

And this sums up the vast majority of our men and women in blue. One cop out of millions makes a wrong (often spur of the moment) decision that goes bad and the SJWs and the “we’ll-do anything to get more viewers/readers” news media is all over them.

Baldo’s friend (I forget his name), isn’t he an undocumented immigrant? I seem to remember that from an earlier situation. If so, I would have expected him to hide from the police.
