Thanks everyone for your kind words and sympathy from yesterday’s post. I sort of feel like Tigger hung around a lot yesterday after he crossed the Rainbow Bridge, since I kept thinking I was seeing him when I looked at Dexter and again when I looked at April (who is Tigger’s sister). And Tigger was very present in my dreams last night. I hope that was him assuring me he is happy and well now. As for songs reminding me of cats who have passed, I once had a cat named Angel. She died of Feline Infectious Anemia on December 16,1984 (I have kept records going back to 1977 of all my cats when they were born and when and how they died). She died on my bed as I was playing a record of Christmas music. She passed as the song “Christmas Angel” (I think it was sung by Bobby Vinton) was playing. For years after that, I couldn’t listen to that song. If I played that record, I had to skip that song. That will always be her song and it will always remind me of her and it will probably make me cry if I ever hear that song again.
It was still hard working on Saturday. I felt sort of sad all day. My next day off isn’t until Tuesday. I need to shake these blues. Sorry to be a downer. I’ll try to cheer up knowing I did what was best for Tigger.
Good morning and happy Bunday, Graham Crackers. I believe Jack and Chesney’s internal clocks are off. Carnaval is usually held before the beginning of Lent, not just before Christmas. Unless, of course, it’s your internal calendar that’s off, Graham.
But why is she using second person singular to address two cats? The usual thing in the Americas would be to switch to ustedes (normally formal) with the third-person plural verb forms “van”/“entienden”: “Ustedes/Uds no van a ninguna parte. ¿Entienden?”

I believe Carnaval is an official festival in Mexico, but Chesney and Jack may land there a bit early…!

I can only imagine the trouble they woulda gotten into down there. Annie would have to bribe the guards to …. on second thought, leave ‘em there!

Who isn’t in bed? Or did they get sent to bed early, and without supper!
I suppose that is the new punishment… the loading dock is too cold this time of year!
