The curse of the pronouns strikes again. “He bit off his head.” Which he? Which his? Could be the brother bit off the chocolate head OR Evil Chocolate Santa bit off the brother’s head, which would explain why Earl slept with the light on for years. People fling pronouns around far too lightly with no thought for the listener.
Still sleep with the light on. My brothers are gone, but there IS under the bed . . .and don’t even get me started about what might be in the closet. . .
