Have always admired comic writers who bring a little bit of joy and light into our sometimes dark and scary lives….apparently those adjectives are not in Scherzo’s vocabulary…
Thank you, Jeff, for these consistently good comics. I look forward to them every day and pray that God keeps giving you new ideas. I’m glad He gifted you this way! Enjoy a blessed Christmas.
There’s a lot to be said for winter running, most of it — but not necessarily all of it — good. And those days (not around here, not today, so my timing will just have to be good in some other part of the country) when it’s soft or slippery or both underfoot, those days can be either. You’re not going to be setting any speed records, but that means there’s no pressure to. You can put all of your effort and focus into something else, like staying upright.

It’s winter over here, but I feel no need to race.

That’s Mrs. Olsen. Always presents a good example to others.

The nerve of that Mrs. Olsen, liking different things than you do.

Yes, it’s hard to recognize vanity in one’s self.

Here in Florida, winter races is what we do. Summer is when we don’t have races (too hot).

I haven’t felt that pressure since “ever”. That’s teenager talk. I guess teaching third graders keeps you in the loop.
