This really makes me sad. To reiterate my point from a couple of days ago, if we are automatically against every idea from the other side JUST BECAUSE it’s from the other side – we are part of the problem. We have GOT to find common ground in the middle. This jazz of standing on the far edges, glaring and swearing at one another, is not working. We must find a way to stand together on behalf of the “United” States.
Abraham Lincoln, in the moment of our country’s greatest division (until now), said, “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.”
What has been will be again, what has been said will be said again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9
What’s funny is that when GHW Bush died everyone made such a big deal about it and when he was president he was an absolute zero known for retracting a tax pledge, and Trudeau symbolized him with an empty air space.
For a comparison of the two Presidents, Donald John Trump’s “Speech Bubble” would have “T” saying, “Tell me more about my greatness, Minon!”
I, personally, believe that the ‘picture’ of the President sitting in on a Cabinet Meeting while his Cabinet effusively praises him represents the nadir of “political narcissism”! It’s something I can picture Kim Jong-un doing, but not an American president.
However, EVERY TIME I think we can’t get any lower, Donnie John proves me wrong, so I suppose it’s “stupid” to attempt establishing a ‘baseline’ from which to operate!

I missed this arc on the original go-around. I did not realize Mike was a point of light.

It takes courage to challenge drug dealers on their turf. People who do are usually recognized only at their funerals.
