Here we go again. Chocolate in moderate quantities is not harmful to dogs. If they get too much, they will emit odorous gasses from their backside. Our dog has eaten a few M&M’s to homemade fudge, chocolate syrup on her ice cream. In case you wonder, she is a healthy 15 years old.
While we are at it, Poinsettias are not poisonous either. I know they taste terrible because when we used to sell them I would grab a leaf and eat it every time a customer said they are poisonous.

Add xylitol – very poisonous and used more and more in sweeteners, candy, gum etc.
