I don’t think I’ve heard of a “Gertrude McFuzz” in any Theodor Seuss Geisel books.

Heart, You’re gonna be a STAR! Now you had better make with the apologies before you lose your best friend, Kat.

Heart needs to rein in her jealousy before she talks – at least to friends. Kat will play this out till Christmas!

Why didn’t Heart get the notification? I think it’s time you hugged it out, ladies.

I remember her! My lil sister loved Yertle The Turtle and Gertrude really cracked her up. All of his books were great for teaching the basics of reading, as well as being an absolute Hoot to read. I read them to her so much, and then to my daughter, likewise, that I probably can recite long stretches of them. And dramatic Heart is perfect for the part of Dramatic Gertrude.

Heart must be tired from jumping to conclusions.

Here I thought it was the lead they were fighting over.

Although she obviously stepped in it with her comments to Kat, I thought it was interesting that she immediately reflected on her own performance.

Oops, she should have waited and looked first.

We still don’t know how Kat got any part – I doubt that it is because of a lack of girls trying out, as they wouldn’t have had callbacks (which was made clear when Dean got his part)

I think the next plot will be Heart whining to her mother about getting a “better” phone, since it seems she doesn’t have it…

I love Kat’s comment in the last pane “…need a duster for cobwebs.”

Well how about that? Heart came out on top after all. Guess the strip really has changed.
