If you think salads are low-cal, just look at the calorie count on a big salad at a restaurant. Most of them will provide you with nutritional info if you ask. Some salads weigh in at about 1400 calories!
I believe it was Adam a couple-three decades ago who made national news by melting cheese on rice cakes to make them tasty as well as healthy, till a nutritionist on the same TV talk show pointed out how much fat the cheese added.

I don’t worry about what I eat as far as calorie content, my metabolism burns calories as fast as I consume them
I should worry more about nutritional content than I do, but that is a resolution I did not make

Adam, you’ve made me hungry. Could you pizza pass the salad?

Salad is great if you have it with lots of crumbled cheese and full-fat dressing. Buttered bread sticks on the side work well too.

It’s a start. Baby steps, Adam. It’s tough going cold turkey.

Lettuce. He’s obviously suffered enough to make the resolution still count.
