This actually worked with my older brother and me. My dad pointed out to my brother one day that I would soon overtake him in size and would likely be much bigger (which is accurate), and if he didn’t stop picking fights with me, that I would one day stuff him into a garbage can. My brother and I have been good friends ever since.
