I know people who act like not watching TV at all somehow makes them superior beings. And yet there are lots of good documentaries etc out there if you view selectively.
I, like Chuckes, am far too busy to watch TV. Far too busy PLAYING VIDEO GAMES! Ah who am I kidding? I obviously squeeze in an episode of Family Guy now and then.
For me, it has nothing to do with time. There just aren’t a lot of contemporary TV shows that attract me. I watch “This Is Us” with my daughters, “The Good Doctor” with my older daughter, and “The Walking Dead” with my husband. Otherwise we like to watch shows that we have on DVD, or anime series online (Currently, the girls & I are watching “Cardcaptor Sakura”, and my younger daughter & I are watching “Eight Is Enough”).
I have so many shows I’ve begun watching over the last few months, and I can’t seem to stick with any of them, no matter how good they were. My most recent find is the Disney+ reboot of “Turner and Hooch”, which I think is pretty good, but unfortunately, I’m always either too busy to catch up on the new episodes, or I forget and end up opting to watch one of the shows we own on DVD (I can’t seem to break free of “I Love Lucy” :P).

And once again, he makes it all about himself. THIS is why nobody can stand to be around you, Charlie Brown!

I have a TV, but haven’t watched anything on it in ages. I just go to YouTube and GoGoAnime.

I haven’t watched television in a long time either, nothing good to watch until The Ghost and Molly McGee premiers.

I have had so many conversations like this. From the Schroeder perspective, I mean.

That was back in the 50s. Now there are even more reasons not to watch anything on a screen.

Schroeder was probably watching the same network I was at the time:

If you’re too busy with the comics, Charlie, we’ll understand.

VERY familiar with that feeling Schroder is feeling in the final panel.

His TV’s broken and he’s lonely.

He drew this basic strip a few times, during the years he was establishing how richly Charlie Brown deserved his subsequent fate.

Charlie Brown, shut up and listen for once.
