He didn’t get much candy this year. It didn’t even last until Christmas.

Halloween candy needs to last me until Christmas, which is generally fairly easy (even if it means cheating with early Christmas candy). Christmas candy needs to last me until Easter, also not too bad. Easter candy needs to last me until Halloween, and that one’s rough.

Never had that much Halloween candy. Well, if I wanted to strech it by only eating one piece a day I did. But it usually took me like two or three days, maybe three or four days, to finish it.

Lucky you. Our dad used to come home for lunch while we were at school and help himself generously. Then he’d fill his pockets with it for “snacks” before he left. We were lucky if it lasted till the weekend.
