You just have to know when you’re due, and a couple days before (in case you’re early) you wear dark pants, and you carry 2 of those things in your purse.
These days, you go to the school office and most counselors are prepared for this sudden problem. I’m not sure that they’ve always been that aware of some of the more simple tools of their trade.
That’s why when you know it’s getting close, you start wearing only dark pants. And trust me, it’s not hard to know it’s coming. If anything and everything and anybody and everybody has you about to go off like a ticking time bomb, it’s coming.
I never knew when it was coming and because of that, developed panic attacks. Sitting in a theater or standing in a long line, I would feel like “here it is!” Finally started being protected ALL the time.

Actually, the smart thing for a mother to do is give her daughter(s) one to keep handy once they reach a certain age.
