Schulz actually received hate mail for showing Peppermint Patty and Franklin attending the same school. Even in 1972. He never paid any attention to it.
Well, if each of the four meetings lasts about an hour, heâd be available at about, say 6:30.. In spring, the sun would still be up but close to setting.
Our only rules for our girls joining any clubs are that it should be something they enjoy, something theyâll stick with, and limit how many. This way theyâre not overbooked or stressed. This year our younger girl is in theatre, chorus, and D&D; and our older one is in orchestra, chamber orchestra, journalism, and âMagic" (the game).
In my day, if you took a bunch of kids and threw them together with a ball and maybe some chalk, some sort of game would break out.I wonder if kids today have enough imagination outside of structured activity to do this.
Kids today are so âbusyâ their parents enroll them in everythingâŠ.and kids canât even be themselves, relax, and be home. Too much pressureâŠ.is it parents donât want to deal with their kids or is it they are living through their kids? BLEAH!
This really brought back the wonderful explorations of FREE childhood time I had in the late â50s/early â60s. Time to observe the world around me, find out what it was, who I was. I know thatâs not really feasible these days in most parts but, it makes me REALLY sad for Franklin that he has a CEOâs calendar at his age.

Either Franklin has a secret time warp, or these activities are very brief.

Back then, and today, parents thought that if they overloaded the kids with these sorts of activities they would not have time for sex and drugs.
