You are a gentle soul, thank you too – you’re doing a great job.

When I give a compliment like this, I’m brightening my own day, just from knowing I brightened someone else’s.

Why can’t more people be like this?

As the saying goes, it takes 10 positive statements to balance out one negative statement. ALWAYS give praise when it is deserved. And sometimes even if it is not.

This is heroic.

It doesn’t cost a thing to be nice.

I do that all the time along with a robust tip. For bad service, I just tip accordingly but every once in a while I also call the manager over.
