Dang. I had to look that up, “art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements”. For me, that was grade school stuff.
I think it’s time for Earl to become a Renaissance man. Take up adult yoga, become a mentor, go take a college course (free in most places for the over 65 set).
This is one reason men often go downhill after retirement. They don’t have hobbies or the regular contact with people they had in the working world. So guys, keep doing hobbies that you love, and keep on being ROMEOs — I’m sure that helps you stay healthy and alive. <3

Your sister-in-law, Leon, sure keeps Earl on a leash.

Is decoupage the pre-computer age cut and paste? I’ll bet that Leon practices some version of cut and paste for his comic strip.

Is there such a thing as a GOOD case of gout? Timely, perhaps…

Decoupage class – another one of the fun things dreamed up by your spouse, to keep you from really enjoying your retirement.

Looks like “decoupage with meat,” which would be interesting, though disgusting.
El Cobbo Grande over 5 years ago
Yeah, I thought it would be more interesting too

She is using him to make a bust. He’ll have to sit still until the glue hardens, and then she will cut it off of him!

I wonder if she goes to collage to learn decoupage… ☺

I just hope that this arc doesn’t presage Brian giving it all up and going into retirement!
And So It Goes over 5 years ago
If Earls brother Leon is writing the cartoon, why is Brian taking the credit?

One new bright idea for a comic strip for Leon – oh, already taken.

Retirement doesn’t look so good with that in it.

Don’t give up writing the strip! Introduce him to Opel’s sister! The daughter could have a baby. Pickles is our favorite comic!!!!

So Leon’s pen name is Brian Crane?
