My father sure didn’t listen to groovy music on our record player, but (I guess) I did. Your ears are analog, records are analog and CDs etc are digital. Phonograph sound is the best but you have to spend a lot to be able to tell the difference.
Vinyl is back. Every group now releases on vinyl records again recognizing the superior range and warmth of the medium. Two years ago I purchased a new direct drive, magnetic cartridge turntable better than any I had had as a youth. One difference. This one also has a usb output for digitizing my LPs!
