As I understand it, the reason the Sundays and dailies of a comic strip donāt usually match is that they are often printed in different facilities on different production schedules, which would require different lead-times for the cartoonist.
With real newspapers sinking into the Red (Ink) Sea, I wonder if separate colored Sunday comics will also disappear. I can live without a Sunday version of most daily strips, but it will break my heart when there is no more Prince Valiant.
