Seniors like the “personal touch” not having machine algorithms telling them what they need. Yeesh!

My wife and step-daughter buy most of the groceries, all I ever buy is junk food

You just know what that lousy, judgmental computer thinks about me…

Mrs. Greely was reminding him he’d forgotten stuff. The machine is “suggesting” he might like this stuff because he bought that stuff.

The coupon tracker does not give you deals on the stuff you usually buy. It gives you coupons for another brand, or only buying for twice as much of your usual brand at a time. I don’t want the other brand or twice what I usually buy, or I would buy the other brand or twice as much. Mrs. Greely would have known that and not wasted anybody’s time.

The old guy must be really old, because even in a small town in the 1950s, there were no Mrs. Greelys.

    I’m surprised he’s using the self-check lane.

Did Frank shrink in the third panel? In the first and second he is 3/4 Sara’s height and in the third he is less than 1/2. It can’t be perspective since they are side by side in all three. Is it because he is acting more like a child than an adult?

I won’t use a self check out. Someone lost their job to that machine.

If Mrs. Greely had gotten together with everyone in the back room after work and they had all collated their data on their customers, then I would have been just as suspicious of her as I am of the computer.
